Stocking Game - Board game

In my opinion the best thing about the holiday season are the holidays with family.
I think that at Christmas people waste a lot of money.
I spend Christmas with my grandmother, my uncles and cousins and my parents. I like Christmas because we are all together.

Aroa Sala, 2nd C

I would like to receive a new mobile phone this Christmas. The earliest Christmas memory I have is to get up early and to find my favourite present as a child, it was a Barbie doll.

Aina Mariages, 2nd A

The worst thing at the Christmas holiday is the cold. I have the dinner Christmas at home. I've never spent the Christmas holiday away from home. At Christmas I play with my friends and I visit my family. I sing Fum fum fum Carol and I watch the film Scruch' Ghosts.

Ivan Contreras, 2nd B

In my opinion, the best thing about the holiday season is gather together with all the family and have fun. And the worst thing is that it passes very quickly.

The most people think in buying presents. I think that people only waste money if they buy presents that aren’t useful.

My favourite Carol is Last Christmas. I don’t have a favourite holiday movie, but when I was young I always saw Disney films on holidays.

I spend Christmas with all my family. My family don’t have any special tradition at Christmas, but we always go to my aunt’s house on 25th December in Sant Llorenç town. When I go to Sant Llorenç with my family and we stay there for 3 days and we celebrate the end of the year, I enjoy it and it is really fun and I hung out with my cousins or friends.

The last “perfect” gift I gave to someone, were earrings that I gave to my mum. They weren't “perfect” but my mum really liked them. The last one I received was a bag and a perfume from my aunts.

Imelda Castañón, 2nd B

People spend a lot of money these daysThe last “perfect” gift I gave was a box of chocolates for my mother. My favourite holiday movie is Home Alone.

Abel Navarro, 2nd B

The best thing for me at Christmas is to be with the family around the table all talking, laughing... it's beautiful. The last gift I received was a pair of shoes , a jacket and a pair of boots and the last travel holidays away from home was two years ago that I just went to see my family in Brazil.

Iris Dias, 2nd C

My last perfect travell was last year when I went a trip on horse. I was with my dad, my oncle and friends. It was at 2:00 p.m at night, and we didn't see nothing, but the horses can see in the darkness and they drive us to home. It was amazing!
My first memorable event was when all my family ate together. My second memorable event was when the Three Wise Men brought me a horse toy. My third memorable event was when my dad accompany me to "El Rocio" with my horse.

Paloma Barea, 2nd B

At Christmas I’m in my grandmother’s house with all my family and we play boardgames. I go to my grandfather’s house to have a traditional Christmas dinner. I would like to go to Hawaii with my family and friends.

Aida Abellán, 2nd C

In my opinion the best thing about  the holidays are the presents. Christmas is very commercial and the people waste a lot of money because they buy many presents and food. I have a traditional lunch on 24th, 25th and 31st of December with my mother's family and on 26th December, 1st January and 6th January with my father's family. I also go to my cousins' house to play. The perfect present I received was a guitar. My favourite song is All I Want for Christmas is You and my favourite movie is Un cuento antes de Navidad.

Sara Escudero, 2nd B

In my opinion the worst thing about the holiday season is to do the holiday homework. During the holidays I hang out with my friends. My favourite holiday songs are the carols and my favourite holiday movie is The Gringh.

Judith Ruiz, 2nd C

I spend Christmas with my family. The tradition is to eat with my family all Christmas holidays. We often go with my family to a Farm House.

Ana Fernández, 2nd A

The best of the Holidays is that there is no school, there are many parties and we are the family together. In my opinion people waste money on Christmas gifts, but they waste much money in sales.
The worst Christmas for me is the homework because I enjoy resting. My favourite songs are Nadales and my favourite movie is The Hunger Games.

Judit Rodríguez, 2nd B

In my opinion the best of the holidays is being with family. At Christmas there are many commercial days because you have to do a lot of shopping. The worst thing about being on holiday is that you're not with friends. I sometimes spend Christmas with my family in a Cottage Home. To hung out I play with my cousins. My favorite song is Bells On Bells and my favourite film is Santa Buddies.

Christmas in Britain

24th of December is Christmas Eve and 25th of December is Christmas Day. 25th of December is a very special day, because we celebrate the birth of the baby Jesús. This day we are in the house with our family, children open their presents, we eat together and we're happy. In England the Christmast dessert is Chistmas Pudding and they eat stuff turkey, too. Santa Claus gives coal for the bad kids and gives lovely gifts for the good kids. Christmas is beautiful.

Dieneba Tounkara, 2nd A

Christmas is very strange in Britain because in Spain is very different.
At Christmas everybody decorate the Christmas Tree are baubles, ligths and the star or angel.
In Britain the main decorations are the Christmas Stocking and holly or other things.
In the garden people make a snowman. Many people decorate the door  with a wreath.
3 months before chirstmas they bake a Christmas cake. In December everybody write the Christmas cards for other people.

Ivet Pérez, 2nd D

In Britain people celebrate Christmas with the family, friends....
Christmas in Britain is very different that in Spain, because people knock the doors and sing carols and is Spain is not traditional.
People decorate Christmas Thee with bells, baubles, angels, starts, and many differen colour lights. The house is decorated with colour lights, too.
In Britain isn't tradicional the turron, but at the dinner Christmas they eat Pudding and turkey.
The main decoration on the chimmney is the Christmas  stockingPeople decorate garden with Father Christmas and reindeers.

Brenda Zapata, 2nd D

Christmas are dates to celebrate with family in the months December and January. In Spain The Three Wise Men come and they bring. The Father Christmas is a person on 25th comes brings presents with the sleight to children and leaves the presents under the Christmas Tree. Christmas Tree is a tree decorated with baubles and an Angel above who symbolizes the stars.
At Christmas the house is decorated with bells, mistletoe, wreath, holly, Christmas stocking and Christmas tree. Christmas crackers is like a firecracker with a joke inside. Children make snowmen with snow.
At Christmas people eat: Christmas cake , candy canes, gingerbread man, Christmas pudding it's a traditional dessert and turkey is the traditional Christmas dinner.
At schools children do a Nativity play and they sing Carol songs, too.

Aida Abellán, 2nd C

On 25th December Father Christmas gives presents to children. Children put brandy for him and carrots for his reindeers. The traditional Christmas dinner is roast turkey and the traditional dessert is Christmas pudding. The Christmas cake is made it three months before Christmas and every week put brandy inside it. The houses are decorated with wreath on the door and lights, the Christmas tree is decorated with baubles. In the schools every class do a Nativity play and on 1st December children call the doors and sing carols, and with the money they win they buy Christmas presents for their families.

Judit Ruiz, 2nd C

Alison has explained us that in her country Christmas is very important. They buy many things at Christmas; Christmas Tree, Christmas gift, many different decoration. On 25th December the call Christmas Day, family celebrate Christmas and at dinner there's a cake called Christmas pudding and they do stuffed turkey with vegetables.
The children and adults go to the doorstep of their neighbours to sing Christmas Carols and neighbours give them money to buy Christmas presents.

Aina Mariages, 2nd A

Christmas in England starts on the 1st December when people start to decorate their houses and to buy presents to their family and their friends. Like we know, Christmas is to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus, so peolpe go to the church on the 25th December. At the same time English mums usually prepare a roast turckey with roast vegetables, pudding, a Christmas cake... a lot of food usually, too much. Children like to go out and to play with the snow doing snowmen waiting for their Christmas presents. It's always very cold in England.

Halloween

Alison taught us that Halloween is a very popular tradition in England. She told us that when she was young she celebrated it every year with her friends. First she played games in the playground at school and then she went knocking doors at night. She explained that she liked to wear costumes, specially witch costume, and they always got a bag to put all the candies that the people gave them scared of the treat. They always got home with a lot of candies.
The tradition in Alison's house was to do toffee apples and pancakes. She loved that! Now she doesn't celebrate Halloween but she likes to make costumes to the children and she never forget to buy Halloween candies to give them.

Suemy Lam, 2nd D

On Halloween children go to school with costumes. At school they play traditional games. Children play to eat sweet apples, take apples out of a bowl, etc. Children go to houses and say ''Trick or Treat'' at Night of 31rd October.
Alison like Halloween, but the celebration is for children. Her favourite costume is witch costume, and she loves haunted houses.
Laura Flores, 2nd D
In Spain Halloween is not a tradition, it is a tradition in USA and UK. In USA the houses are decorated with Jack o lanterns and different scary things.
At night of Halloween many people go this houses and say trick or treat. If  people say trick children ask a question.

Ivet Pérez, 2nd D

I didn't know that English people don't throw eggs to other houses and I learnt to do the Trick or Treat.
I don't celebrate Halloween because it isn't traditional in Catalonia, but I like to see people with their costumes, this makes me to feel happy.

Isaac López, 2nd D

Halloween in England is celebrated on 31st October. Children often
dress up as bats, skeletons and pumpkins, but also dress up as ghosts, witches, zombies, mummies and monsters. When children put on their Halloween costumes they go from house to house saying trick or treat and people in the house are scared of their dresses and give them candies.
There are traditional Halloween games: One is that we fill a bowl of water with apples inside, children have to grab the apples with his mouth without using their hands .
The other game is that apples are hung on a string and children have to grab them with their without using their hands.
Aniana Pratsevall, 2nd C

When Alison was little she loves Halloween. In America pumpkin is the symbol of Halloween. She doesn't decorate her house for Halloween, but when her children were young she cooked Halloween cookies. In England don't throw eggs only bad boys do this.

Judit Ruiz, 2nd C

Halloween is an important celebration in England but isn't
important in Catalonia. When Alison was a child she played with her friends Halloween games at the playground. Halloween is fun because children go out the school and go to their houses and prepare their fancy dresses and at night go to other houses because people give candies to them.

Umar Baragi, 2nd A

Halloween is an American tradition, children wear costumes and go to streets and say trick or treat and play games like Apple Bobbing. Parents help children with costumes and Jack o lantern. Alison likes Halloween because she  likes seeing children in streets.

María Peláez, 2nd A

On halloween the are a lot of costumes: Dracula, Frankenstein, etc. ...There are a lot games for example the games of the apples. On Halloween in America is a tradition to decorate the house with Halloween objects. Alison celebrated Halloween when she was a child.
Lucas Eirín, 2nd D

I celebrate Halloween because it is traditional in Uruguay, I like to see people with their costumes and I go out with my friends at night.

Facundo  Morales, 2nd D

Halloween is a celebration. It comes from the ancient Celtics. It is celebrated on October 31st. On Halloween , children go to school in their costumes, such as: witches, pumpkins, vampires, skeletons and monster's masks. This celebration is for the children. People decorate their houses on Halloween with: bats, ghosts, spiders, jack o lanterns and witches.
There is an exciting traditional game called "bobbing for apples", where there is a big bowl full of water and a lot of red apples, you must catch with your mouth.
Joel Gutiérrez, 2nd C

I learned Halloween words. My favourite words are pumpkin and ghost. I didn't know the most of the words because I didn't use it, but I like knowing new words.

Paloma Barea, 2nd B

In England, children celebrate Halloween on 31st October. Alison doesn't celebrate Halloween but she always prepares a bowl of sweets for children because they come to her house for trick or treat.
In England, there is a tradition to eat toffee apples. All children usually wear costumes because they like to scare adults.
I think Halloween is wery good tradition but we don't have Halloween in Spain. It's a pity
.

Bullying

Amanda Todd

It is a girl named Amanda. She sent a message by facebook threatening that have posted some personal photos of her. And she began to crack until it is just committing suicide.

Aina Mariages, 2nd A

In this video there is a girl bullied, Amanda Todd, telling her story. I think that is a very hard video because we saw a girl that is very desperate and very sad. I don't understand why people can do this to anyone and how they can say her to kill her self.

Suemy Lam, 2nd D

Amanda was in struggling because a boy published a photo of Amanda undressed and he threaten. She was anxiously because the most of people saw the photo in Facebook. She fell in alcohol and drugs and she moved school. And a day she cut her wrists.

Umar Baragi, 2nd A

The bullying is a very serious case and we must stop, so people like Amanda don't get to kill her self. I think this video is very interesting and help you to understand why this happened to Amanda.

Valentina Delgado, 2nd D

This video explains the Amanda's story. A man sent the message in Facebook to her. He threaten to Amanda. She sent him the photo of her body because lying her family. Everybody watched her photo and made bullying to Amanda. She decided to cut her wrists.

Alejandra Torrecilla, 2nd A

One day on facebook she sent text messages with a boy and this boy knew all of the girl. He
had a photo of her undressed. She went to the police but the photo was for all the Earth. She went to many schools but people laughed at her. She was alone.

Dieneba Tounkara, 2nd A

This video is very hard, it's a story of a girl who suffers cyber bullying, a type of bullying by the internet. A man threat her with show her nude photos if she doesn't show him herself nude.
I almost cried with that, because i think is very hard to suffer that.
Jordi Barea, 2nd D

She was Amanda Todd, she chatted with friends on webcam and met new friends, she wanted to flash and her photo was sent to everyone. She fell in drugs and alcohol. After got this video on  facebook, she committed suicide.

María Peláez, 2nd A

Amanda Todd was a girl only 15 years old and she committed suicide because the bullying. This story for me is scary!

Iker Ponce, 2nd C

Amanda Todd is a victim of bullying. It's amazing how a silly thing don't think that all they say can really hurt. People did bullying to her is horrible: they are murderers because for their fault this girl is dead. I hope anybody else suffer bullying.

Judit Ruiz, 2nd C

She had nobody, she needed someone.

Lucía Castañón, 2nd A

Bullying is very dangerous and we don't need bullying to have fun.

Christian Manzanares, 2nd A

This video is very sad, it reflects the reality of the bullying.

Aaron Cissé, 2nd A

This story is associated with the film Bullying.

Luís Martínez, 2nd A

She is a victim of bullying. It is horrible and real.

Álex Robles, 2nd A

I like this video because you can see the real things of the world. Some teachers say: "Bullying doesn't exist  in my school"; but they don't see the reality of our things.

Paloma Barea, 2nd B

This video is very interesting, but it is pity. Amanda was a teenager and the she committed suicide.

Ana Fernández, 2nd A

Amanda Todd was a teenager and a victim of the bullying. This video is a reflection about people, that abuse of children at school.

Joel Gutiérrez, 2nd C

I think this girl does this video before committed suicide because she hopes to help other people.

Álex Mairén, 2nd C

The bullying is very bad and I do not think you can stop.
