Halloween

Alison taught us that Halloween is a very popular tradition in England. She told us that when she was young she celebrated it every year with her friends. First she played games in the playground at school and then she went knocking doors at night. She explained that she liked to wear costumes, specially witch costume, and they always got a bag to put all the candies that the people gave them scared of the treat. They always got home with a lot of candies.
The tradition in Alison's house was to do toffee apples and pancakes. She loved that! Now she doesn't celebrate Halloween but she likes to make costumes to the children and she never forget to buy Halloween candies to give them.

Suemy Lam, 2nd D

On Halloween children go to school with costumes. At school they play traditional games. Children play to eat sweet apples, take apples out of a bowl, etc. Children go to houses and say ''Trick or Treat'' at Night of 31rd October.
Alison like Halloween, but the celebration is for children. Her favourite costume is witch costume, and she loves haunted houses.
Laura Flores, 2nd D
In Spain Halloween is not a tradition, it is a tradition in USA and UK. In USA the houses are decorated with Jack o lanterns and different scary things.
At night of Halloween many people go this houses and say trick or treat. If  people say trick children ask a question.

Ivet Pérez, 2nd D

I didn't know that English people don't throw eggs to other houses and I learnt to do the Trick or Treat.
I don't celebrate Halloween because it isn't traditional in Catalonia, but I like to see people with their costumes, this makes me to feel happy.

Isaac López, 2nd D

Halloween in England is celebrated on 31st October. Children often
dress up as bats, skeletons and pumpkins, but also dress up as ghosts, witches, zombies, mummies and monsters. When children put on their Halloween costumes they go from house to house saying trick or treat and people in the house are scared of their dresses and give them candies.
There are traditional Halloween games: One is that we fill a bowl of water with apples inside, children have to grab the apples with his mouth without using their hands .
The other game is that apples are hung on a string and children have to grab them with their without using their hands.
Aniana Pratsevall, 2nd C

When Alison was little she loves Halloween. In America pumpkin is the symbol of Halloween. She doesn't decorate her house for Halloween, but when her children were young she cooked Halloween cookies. In England don't throw eggs only bad boys do this.

Judit Ruiz, 2nd C

Halloween is an important celebration in England but isn't
important in Catalonia. When Alison was a child she played with her friends Halloween games at the playground. Halloween is fun because children go out the school and go to their houses and prepare their fancy dresses and at night go to other houses because people give candies to them.

Umar Baragi, 2nd A

Halloween is an American tradition, children wear costumes and go to streets and say trick or treat and play games like Apple Bobbing. Parents help children with costumes and Jack o lantern. Alison likes Halloween because she  likes seeing children in streets.

María Peláez, 2nd A

On halloween the are a lot of costumes: Dracula, Frankenstein, etc. ...There are a lot games for example the games of the apples. On Halloween in America is a tradition to decorate the house with Halloween objects. Alison celebrated Halloween when she was a child.
Lucas Eirín, 2nd D

I celebrate Halloween because it is traditional in Uruguay, I like to see people with their costumes and I go out with my friends at night.

Facundo  Morales, 2nd D

Halloween is a celebration. It comes from the ancient Celtics. It is celebrated on October 31st. On Halloween , children go to school in their costumes, such as: witches, pumpkins, vampires, skeletons and monster's masks. This celebration is for the children. People decorate their houses on Halloween with: bats, ghosts, spiders, jack o lanterns and witches.
There is an exciting traditional game called "bobbing for apples", where there is a big bowl full of water and a lot of red apples, you must catch with your mouth.
Joel Gutiérrez, 2nd C

I learned Halloween words. My favourite words are pumpkin and ghost. I didn't know the most of the words because I didn't use it, but I like knowing new words.

Paloma Barea, 2nd B

In England, children celebrate Halloween on 31st October. Alison doesn't celebrate Halloween but she always prepares a bowl of sweets for children because they come to her house for trick or treat.
In England, there is a tradition to eat toffee apples. All children usually wear costumes because they like to scare adults.
I think Halloween is wery good tradition but we don't have Halloween in Spain. It's a pity
.

Aina Mariages, 2nd A

In this video there is a girl bullied, Amanda Todd, telling her story. I think that is a very hard video because we saw a girl that is very desperate and very sad. I don't understand why people can do this to anyone and how they can say her to kill her self.
